The zMAX CARS Tour Series returns to kick-off the NASCAR All-Star Race week at historic North Wilkesboro Speedway, May 14-15, and is supported by well-known local entitlement partners that are both national brands with strong local ties, including Window World, which returns to sponsor the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Cars and brand-new partner The Reverend Sour Mash Whiskey, a product that is owned by the Call Family Distillers and has quickly risen to prominence in the bourbon category.
The zMAX Cars Tour Pro Late Model Race, The Reverend 100, will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at 8:30 p.m. and the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car race, the Window World 125, will take the green flag on the challenging .625-mile short track on Wednesday, May 15, at 8:30 p.m. Both races will stream live on FloRacing.
Both companies have unique and compelling storylines and continue to strive to make their brands better.

To say that The Reverend Whiskey has burst on the distilling scene is an understatement, as the brand has quickly moved to a 25-state distribution at the time of this news release and is predicted to be nationwide by the end of 2024. The Reverend pays a fitting tribute to the Call family patriarch, Daniel Call, who was a 19th century preacher, farmer, grocer and distiller. He and his two apprentices, Jasper “Jack” Daniel and African-American Nathan Green, became masters of the craft of distilling sour mash whiskey and helped define the category of Tennessee whiskey.
Everyone is aware of Jack Daniel’s No. 7 black label and also Nathan Green’s Uncle Nearest 1884 brands that have been best-sellers forever. Now, The Reverend is utilizing the “Lincoln County Process” of filtering the sour mash right off the still through sugar maple charcoal before it goes into the barrel. This was the technique Green brought to America from West Africa.
Call Family Distillers, the descendants of Daniel Call who are located in Wilkesboro, developed The Reverend as a special tribute to the original master, with a taste profile of ripe red apples, cinnamon rolls, raisin cake and fresh ginger to give way to flavors of roasted pecans, tart cherries and charred orange peel.
“The recipe for The Reverend is a nod to its place in American whiskey history,” said Brian Call, master distiller of Call Family Distillers. “Reverend Daniel Call was making whiskey before bourbon was a recognized category. Utilizing the Lincoln County Process, the technique yields a clean, complex and approachable whiskey, making The Reverend a go-to for smooth, neat pours with a high percentage of rye that helps it stand out in a cocktail.”
